What we keep about you, and why, in plain words.

1Who we are
FM Manga turns stories into manga chapters. “We”, “us” and “our” mean the people who run it.
The rules for using the site are on the Terms page.
2What we keep
- Your account. The name you use on the site, and an email address if you add one, used only to help you back into your account. Your password is stored scrambled (hashed), so we can’t read it.
- What you make. The words you type, any pictures you upload for your characters, and the chapters made from them.
- Your purchases. What you bought and when. PayPal also tells us the email address and account number of the PayPal account that paid, and we keep them with the purchase so an offer can’t be used twice. We never see your card number or your PayPal password.
- What you like. The chapters you like, kept with your account. How often a chapter is read is only a count.
- Technical. A scrambled (hashed) form of your internet address, used to stop abuse; it can’t be turned back into the address. One sign-in cookie, which lasts 30 days. A few settings saved in your own browser (language, light or dark, whether the menu is open), which never leave your device.
3What we don’t do
We don’t show ads, we don’t use tools that track you around the web, and we don’t sell your information.
4Why we use it
To run your account, make and show your chapters, take payments, keep the site safe from abuse, and improve how we make chapters.
Your email address is used only for your account and your purchases.
5Who else sees it
- Everyone: your chapters, with your site name on them. The words you type stay private unless you choose to share them.
- Companies that help us run the site, such as hosting, payments and email. They get only what they need to do that, and use it only for that.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
- Whoever runs the site after us, for example a company we set up to run it, under this same policy.
6How long we keep it
Your account and what you make: for as long as your account exists. Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting rules require.
7Where it’s kept
On our hosting provider’s servers and on our own equipment, which may be in different countries.
8Your choices
To see, correct, or ask us to delete what we keep about you, write to support@fm-manga.com. We may keep what we still need to settle a payment or a dispute, to stop abuse, or because the law requires it.
9Changes to this page
We may update this page. The date at the top says when it last changed.
